family visits, fish and dead things
I’m real behind on things in blogosphere. I was going to just sweep it all under the rug and start from whats happening now, but I’ve decided to play catch up a bit.
In the beginning of January my younger (and only) brother came to visit and brought his girlfriend along too. She’d never been to Boston, or at least that was up for debate, so on one of the days they were here we trekked in to Boston and went to the New England Aquarium. Over the years I’ve been to the NEA so many times I’ve lost count. On this particular visit we weren’t aware but it was under construction. The entire round tank in the middle of the aquarium (essentially one of the only reasons to go) was MIA. Covered in tarps and being drilled on the entire time. The ticket prices were only around $5 cheaper, and it was kind of a crapshoot. We still had a good time, but I was pretty disappointed in the sheer amount of construction actually going on.
Ah, anyways.
The jellyfish were pretty damn cool.

That picture of Kh and I is one of my new favorites. I mean, how fucking handsome is she? Shit.
After wandering around the aquarium for a bit we headed over to Quincy Market and got our eat on. I always get overwhelmed with how many choices there are. I really wanted ice cream but uh.. it was freezing out. So I got a salad. Weird compromise..
We took a freezing stroll over to one of my favorite cemeteries and took a few snapshots. It’s not exactly a well kept secret since it’s right off the freedom trail, but I like it none the less.
Overall most of their visit consisted of drinking and eating. Which isn’t out of the ordinary when my brother and I are together. It was great getting to spend some time with him. I don’t get to see him very often, and this was his little get away for graduating college.
Ok, I’m almost caught up.
xo

That really is an awesome pic of you and Kh.
thanks!
